Hi, I'm Ellen Cooper!
My husband James and I have been married for 16 years and we have two beautiful girls, Ella and Hannah. We live outside Atlanta, Georgia where we both grew up. After graduating from Ole Miss (Hotty Toddy!), I spent 14 years working in corporate sales and marketing until I left in 2013 to stay home with the girls and help James with our family business. In early 2016, I felt God calling me to learn more so that I could do more. That calling led me to Dallas Theological Seminary where I will soon have a Masters in Christian Leadership. My experience in seminary has not only developed my biblical and theological knowledge, it has grown my relationship with Christ and made me a better woman, wife, mom, daughter, sister & friend.
God's plan for my life has looked different through the years and my story has lots of bumps, curves and mountains I've had to climb but it's also full of triumph, love and redemption. I spent many years, from college through my early thirties, living far from the Lord yet He was always there waiting for me.
I know that to be true because the moment I looked up and surrendered He caught me. I am fully dependent on Christ each and every day because I know how hard it is to live without Him.
God often puts words on my heart. A few years ago it was abide which led me to seminary. A little over a year ago it was pursue and I've been praying about it ever since. God pursues us and we are to pursue Him. We also want to feel pursued, not merely in love relationships but also in friendships,
community and many other ways. Ultimately we want people to care about us and make an effort, right?
God has called me to encourage and share the Gospel with women of all ages and that is where PURSUE Faith was born. We'll talk faith, family, friendship, freedom, fellowship, fun & lots more! Most importantly, we will focus on how God has worked in our lives and how we are called to serve Him well, live so others can see Christ in us and go out and make disciples,
